Give students practice with talking about vocabulary with naming items and people, answering Wh-questions about them, categorizing, describing, comparing & contrasting.
In this activity, students are asked to name the pictured item;
answer Wh questions about What it is, Where you see/use it, When you see/use it, Who uses/sees it;
tell the category and function of it,
describe it, and
compare/contrast it to a related item.
You can also ask the students to use the word in a sentence.
Vocabulary ranges from Kindergarten to 4th grade, to meet the needs of an Elementary School speech-language pathologist, or a teacher working with those age ranges, or Homeschool parents working to increase their child(ren)’s vocabulary skills, or any multi-age group.
