This document contains 100 conversational questions. I give this handout to my students once I have taught them how to conjugate the verbs, including the three irregulars. It takes my best students about 30 minutes to ask and answer these questions in groups of 2-4. Students who struggle more need approximately 45 minutes. To accommodate students working at different paces, I ask those who finish early to go back through and add follow up questions. An alternative is to ask for three volunteers, one who will select a classmate to answer a question from the list, another to read the question, and a third to create a follow up question on the spot for whomever was chosen to answer. This activity is designed so that you, the instructor, can walk around the room and listen to your students spend about a class period talking primarily in Spanish. Some questions are simple yes/no, but the majority require a response with some thought behind it. A preview of this document is available.
