This handout includes 15 questions in which students are expected to choose the correct form of Ser or Estar in the imperfect tense and supply additional information in a second phrase in order to spice up their sentences. An answer key for the blanks for Ser and Estar is included. Students should choose original content for the second half of the assignment.
Once students have completed their sentences I ask one student to randomly call on classmates to read a sentence while another student randomly calls on classmates to form a follow-up question about what was just read.
This handout pairs well with Extra Practice: Imperfect Tense handouts, especially #4.
