If a students scores poorly on a test and they want to take an "extra test" they must first fill out this "Extra Test Application." (I have them posted on a spot on a wall in my classroom). In this way, students don't just ask for extra credit when they do poorly on a test. They know they have the option, instead, of going back and re-learning the material. The Extra Test Application includes test corrections, extra practice problems, and an organized sheet of all the formulas they have memorized for this test. In this way, I can ensure they are prepared to succeed on the Extra Test. This has been a game-changer for my classes! No more begging for extra credit...by completing this application, students actually go back and LEARN the material if they do poorly on a test.
*You may edit this checklist to fit YOUR classes since it is a Word File. I teach Alg 1 - AP Calc so that is why I have those classes listed.
