Product Description
Looking for a fun, creative, arts integrated way for your students to show standard mastery for your space science unit on planets? Here it is! During my student teaching, I taught space science to two 4th grade classes. I had them research each of the 8 planets with graphic organizers. At the end of the research, I grouped them into groups of 3 for this project. They were no longer students, but space cadets. Using their planet research, they must choose one planet to create an extraterrestrial being for with arts & crafts materials.

This file contains:
A mission notice informing the space cadets of their mission (project)
Two graphic organizers to help them plan their project
An overall rubric

My 4th graders loved this and it went so well! I hope your students enjoy it as well!

Comments, questions, suggestions are all welcome!
