This is a permanent classroom display of song-derived pentatonic (with low la and low so) tonal patterns in F Major using the do key. One pattern prints on an 8.5 x 11" piece of paper. This resource is designed to print, laminate, trim (if desired), and hang around the top of your classroom wall. You may also use it by scrolling through the PDF using a projector or smart board. It is great to use for students to discover song-derived tonal patterns and to practice sightreading. When I complete the index of correlating songs, I will make that available to those who purchase the tonal patterns. Some of the songs used to derive the patterns in this set are “Teddy Bear”, “Bee, Bee, Bumblebee”, “Rocky Mountain” (in its entirety), "I Got a Letter This Morning", and "Land of the Silver Birch". G Major and C Major are also available as separate purchases.
Patterns are numbered in the lower right-hand corner, and the borders of the patterns are color-coded:
Blue=la, (low la)
Purple= so, (low so)
