"Before you leave FACS for the year, we’ve got a few more lessons for you to hear. But this time is different because you’ll teach them to yourself, using the tools at each station just in case you need help. These are some skills that we really feel you should know; so let’s fit them in before you go!"
This seven station activity is designed to get students up and moving during the last day of school, day before a vacation, or the final day of a semester. The activity teaches and reviews many skills learned in FACS/Home and Careers/Life Skills courses, and includes some related topics that might not be in the curriculum directly.
Students progress through the following sequence of stations:
1. Knife Skills
2. Tying a Tie
3. Sorting Laundry
4. Setting a Formal Table Setting with Napkin Folding
5. Wrapping a Gift/Tie Curling Ribbon
6. Addressing an Envelope/Write a Thank-You Note
7. Job Interviewing
Teacher will need to provide the materials listed on each page to complete these activities. You probably have most of them around your classroom or home!
