Fact VS Opinion - check for understanding with these ready-to-use quick assessments.
There are six different versions included, each with 5 "F vs. O" items and a different fun theme:
- Pre-test your students' knowledge of these concepts before starting a unit on opinion writing, research skills, media literacy, etc.
- Perform formative assessments quickly and painlessly, through bell-ringers, warm-ups, tickets-out-the-door, or even reading stations
- Incorporate these quick assignments in related lessons, such as one about presidents of the United States
- Emphasize critical thinking skills and promote research-based arguments/writing by having students choose a few statements from each assignment and prove whether they're facts or opinions.
