Sometimes it’s hard to find examples of FALSE PREMISE, VALIDITY, AND SOUND ARGUMENTS. This product will help. It is a power point of 37 slides that are colorful and eye-grabbing. This power point thoroughly teaches these three skills and progressively builds on the previous learning.
After the teaching part for False Premise and Validity, students are challenged to determine the Validity of a 10- item practice. This is followed by slides explaining Sound Arguments. Afterwards, students return to the 10-item practice and determine which are Sound Arguments and which are Unsound. The teacher can choose whether to teach this all in one lesson or split it up.
Thank you for your interest. We have many power points, task cards, printables, games, and activities for middle school students at our site The Flanders’ Files.
