This fun self-esteem activity is meant to help remind children how they are valuable and how they can be internally resourceful with the help of a visual aide.
The NO PREP fans highlight six different areas that address confidence, including, coping skills, growth mindset, self-esteem, friendship skills, mindfulness, and for older children, CBT cognitive restructuring question prompts for distortions.
Before folding into a fan, children may re-write the pre-written statement or respond on the fan with their own words or drawings. Discussion throughout the activity, along with subsequent role plays to rehearse the skills are encouraged. The fans are great for teachers and counselors to be used for brain breaks or homework, as well as in lunch bunch groups, and individual and group counseling sessions.
All fans are black and white, ink friendly. An extra set of fans are included without images.
Optional Uses: Use pages without folding into a fan. Or, cut sections out and glue on to large Popsicle sticks to be used as a book mark or as a question/role play prompt. Or, a fun goodie to add to a calm down kit.
