PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In light of the recent privacy debate between Apple and the FBI, I wanted to integrate a lesson into my class that allowed students to express their own opinions on the matter. I created this worksheet that is in PDF format, but it also includes the link to make a copy of the interactive Google DOC version of the worksheet. You can choose what will work best in your classroom. In this activity, students are instructed to read 3 articles published by the New York Times about the debate between Apple and the FBI. The articles focus on the San Bernardino terrorist attack and the privacy rights related to the unlocking of the terrorist’s iPhone. After reading ALL 3 articles, students will be prompted with opinion questions and also will be given a rubric to assess their responses.
