Just to be clear from the start, this is a parody of my historical lectures that I've been doing and adding to for my students over the last 30 years. My philosophy is that, since you generally get much done on the last day before Christmas break, why not immerse the kids in a parody of the historical process.
Like my other Powerpoints, this has a flowchart (although done in garish red and green colors), and picture essays on such topics as killer penguins and elves, the Empire of the Bozos (clowns), the Santa Clone uprising at Santa's village, and Rodangate (a failed attempt to use giant pteranadons to deliver toys).
An extra added feature is a comic on this topic I did with cartoonist Nina Paley, best known for her animated feature, "Sita Sings the Blues." ($1 of each sale goes to her).
In addition, there are tons of useless and fake facts on the Wars of the Elves, the scandal known as Tollhousegate, little-known talents of Eskimoes, the training and equipping of Santa Clones, and the logistics of producing and delivering all those toys.
