This presentation traces the evolution of Greek philosophy from its beginnings with Thales and the Milesian philosophers. It especially focuses on the question of whether or not we can trust our senses and how it created two competing approaches to science and philosophy following Aristotle and Plato. To spark student interest, there is an "animated" section where Aristotle explains his theories of the elements and cosmos.
In addition to the Powerpoint, a student reading, printable flowchart, and my research notes are included.
