This presentation breaks down into two parts. The first picks up with Athens at the end of the Persian Wars, its efforts to ensure its security by forming the Delian League, and tracing that league's evolution into the Athenian Empire. The second part looks at the golden age of Athens, with picture essays on Greek sculpture, drama, architecture, and pottery, the first popular art form.
Included with the Powerpoint are a student reading, printable flowchart, and my own research notes.
