Product Description

Students love talking about this great speech. It's short but full of excellent diction and rhetoric!

The worksheet asks students to:

-Read the speech and highlight the text for logos, ethos, and pathos appeals using 3 different colors.

-Answer the questions using evidence to prove the purpose, tone, purpose of repetition, and define vocabulary in context and explaining the effect of using those specific words.

-Write a paragraph about how FDR used specific language and rhetoric to achieve his purpose. (This question pops up all the time on state tests and the SAT!)

This one is great for hitting that U.S. Seminal Document standard!

I also have Lincoln's 2nd Inaugural Speech in my store, if you need more for this standard!
