The focus of this lesson is for students to gain an understanding of IDIOMS. They are engaged because the format is done on a device that looks like an IPAD, where they click on APPS to go to the different learning sections of the PowerPoint. In addition, fun comics and YouTube clips help to engage the learner with IDIOMS. Students are asked to independently create their own working definition of IDIOMS in a fun and interactive way.
My students can't get enough of these highly engaging PowerPoint because they are all ANIMATED with VIDEO CLIPS. This can easily be used in any classroom for a fun lesson to teach this content. I also use this as a reference tool for students to continuously refer back to if they need a refresher. This helps differentiate the needs of my diverse learners.
