Sort, sort, sort the figurative language!! Great activity and practice for helping students identify figurative language.
Students must first decide whether the sentence is an example of a simile, metaphor, hyperbole, or personification. Then they cut the 20 sentence strips and paste them in the correct box. As an extension, students can turn their paper over and choose two sentences to illustrate. Fun activity that keeps students learning and engaged!
