The threat of being a victim of identity theft or fraud can financially cripple, ruin a victim’s reputation, and take years to fix and get back to normal. Today, everyone receives a SS# at birth, young people are victims and may not know about it until they apply for a college loan! Identity theft protection plans equip their members with the information and expertise needed to help protect them against identity theft and assist to resolve issues related to it.
Access to an attorney has been only for the wealthy and the poor. The wealthy can afford to keep an attorney on retainer and use the legal advice when needed, and the poor have access via legal aid programs.
