• These lessons are designed to introduce first graders to measuring. Students will learn how to order by length, compare lengths to a standard unit and measure with nonstandard and standard units. Lesson will explore a given objective and then give students extra practice for mastery with a student reinforcement page. This unit is awesome on it's own and can be a great supplement for many other math programs.

You will need to pick up a few bags of marshmallows prior to lesson 1. You might choose tiny ones, small ones, large ones, they come in all sizes now. Read through the lessons and choose marshmallows that would best meet your student’s needs.
