Florida is one of the states with an end-of-course exam in U.S. history. This exam accounts for 30% of each student's final grade in the course.
Given the breadth of the standards and the needs of my students (the majority of them are not reading at grade-level, even my honors students), I racked my brain for a way to keep students abreast of their progress on the benchmarks. I also wanted to give my students a sense of what the most important information was to focus on, based on prior administrations of the EOC.
And thus, the data tracker was born! This is specifically tailored for Florida's end-of-course exam in U.S. History, but can be edited to meet the needs of other exams by switching out benchmarks and content.
I have also included a copy of a Powerpoint slide that directs students on how to best fill out the tracker.
