These little FLIP BOOKS are a great way to engage students in reviewing vocabulary and concepts. They are also useful for providing practice for students in a format that helps them to slow down and work through the strategies and ideas. I use these in interactive notebooks and also for those times when I want students to make something they can take home to share.
Included are six different place value flip books, each with a different two digit whole number. Each flip book is printed on one piece of paper. These are great with partners, small groups, or even whole class activities where each partner can have a different version to ‘quiz and check’ their partner or each partner may use the same version.
For each of the Flip Books students will cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines and staple or glue the pages together with the smallest piece on top and progressively bigger pieces beneath with the longest piece on the bottom. When students ‘flip’ the page the name of the place is shown along with a Base Ten model.
