PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As always, I find my Geometry students need a refresher on the skill of multiplying binomials (FOILing) and the inverse skill of factoring. This worksheet is my effort to tie the two ideas together, using the idea of the "generic rectangle," which is simply a geometric area model.

It is a half-sheet of paper, duplicated top and bottom.

This worksheet is intended for students to show their work on a separate sheet of paper.

Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.

Keywords: FOIL, factor, factor trinomials, GCF, greatest common factor, area model, Jonnard
