This project will allow students to work collaboratively to apply force concepts to the real world. They will create and explain concepts of force through a multimedia format. Your creative/artistic students will absolutely love this project. They can make a mini movie, music video, commercial, whatever!
What's awesome about this project is that it is relatively easy to grade. With the provided rubrics the students score themselves, score their peers and you get to score them as well.
Just wait until you watch the videos. Your class will be in stitches!
Teachers: Do no fret if you don't know how to make a film. Students could merely assemble stand alone presentations via Powerpoint, Prezi or other presentation application. I am always shocked with these technologically savvy students. Many have already made videos (for their various social media outlets). For many kids this will be their first time to make a film, but they will love it.The limitations to this project are not having access to computers for digital processing or videos cameras (if they are going to film their project). BUT, most students have cell phones and there are free apps for filming and processing.
