Here's a pacing guide for my AP Chemistry Course, excerpted from my audited syllabus. Some context:
- AP Chemistry is a second-year course, so all of my students have had a full year of regular or honors chemistry.
- I use Chang's Chemistry textbook, but most current AP books are essentially the same. - All of my students take the AP Exam (100% passing rate)
- Since roughly 25% of the exam involves Big Idea 6 (equilibrium), I cover this topic relatively early (before winter break).
- Beginning in January, I have weekly timed free response quizzes that cover first semester topics + current material.
