I hope that you will enjoy this little trio of free graphing activities. They are designed to help you teach the 1st and 2nd grade Common Core Data Analysis Standard.

Activity 1: How We Get Home—Students will use a teacher's list of names and afternoon transportation procedures to create a bar graph of bus riders, car riders, After School Program attendees, and walkers.

Activity 2: Summer Fun Mix Up—Students will find the conflicts between a tally chart about summer activities and a correlating bar graph and explain how to correct the errors.

Activity 3: Oops! The Teacher Messed Up—In this activity, the class made correct tallies and a graph. Then, to trick the students, the teacher changed the graph. The students will try to figure out how to fix it.
