Every year when I put up the classroom jobs poster in my room the first question I get is, "When am I..." They absolutely want to know that their turn is coming. Especially for the jobs that involve the pets!
So I devised this chart. It's meant for a class of 25 and 10 classroom jobs. If you have more students than that, you may want to add more jobs or make the duration of each job shorter. We go for a week. I find it takes my students this long to work it into their routine that they have a job to do.
It's a simple chart, not fancy, but it WORKS! I post it by the job chart and everyone can see when they'll be responsible for each job.
It also helps the classroom run smoothly because I assign the previous Teacher Helper to change the poster every Monday morning. I fill in the weeks based on my district's calendar at the beginning of the year. When it's a short week, I allow two weeks for the students to have that particular job.
Good luck with this. I found it very helpful.
Also, please leave me feedback when you've given it a go, and visit my TPT store! I'm adding new resources regularly!
