*Note: When starting conjugation, I teach "I, you, he, we, they."
Once students grasp that concept, I will include you formal (usted), she (ella), we females (nosotras), we (nosotros) males, you all (ustedes), and the Spanish feminine and masculine for they (ellas and ellos).
Another way I keep it simple is by using one definition for Spanish infinitives. Here, "hablar" is "to speak". After some practice, we will include "to talk" as well. Same for "tocar." Start with "to touch" and then introduce "to play an instrument."
