What are decodable texts and how do they benefit my students?

These decodable readers feature mostly decodable CVC words, a handful of familiar sight words, and an occasional rule-breaker/new vocabulary word to help with story plot and student interest.  Decodable books allow your students to have perfect or nearly-perfect reading practice.  The science of reading indicates that this kind of repetitive practice is essential for maximum retention and confidence in reading.  I have created these stories with the goal that they will give students a direct phonics application within an engaging and fun text!  I also have TEACHERS in mind!  These books are low-prep and easy to use!
