Description

A 5-year-old boy pulls out a chair right when his aunt goes to sit down.

The aunt falls, breaks her hip, and sues her nephew for battery! Should she win? Have your class decide!

thinkLaw uses real-life legal cases to foster the development of critical thinking by taking students through the same critical thinking strategies that are taught in law school.

The Chair is the ORIGINAL thinkLaw sample lesson, but has been updated to support distance learning.

This download includes:

- Student Materials that are available as Word Documents, editable PDFs, and Google Docs.

- Link to YouTube video of a thinkLaw staffer taking students through the lesson (like to YouTube video can be found in the parent/teacher information letter)

- Copy of PowerPoint slides and teacher guide if you would prefer to teach the lesson yourself!

Real Life + Real Legal Cases = Real Thinking & Real Engagement!
