This activity is a great way to promote classroom engagement. Kiddos (yes, even your Algebra students!) love getting up and moving around the room. Groups race to complete their 10 "egg" factoring problems first. As they complete the problems they earn paper eggs that they can decorate after their problem set is finished. Then, they decorate their eggs and create their own basket of fun.
There is a small amount of set-up for this craftivity. You will need to have 20 plastic colorful eggs and a basket or something to easily contain the eggs. A permanent marker and scissors also come in quite handy!
This craftivity comes complete with:
~ 4 egg outlines that are easy to copy and color
~ a tracking sheet to help keep all of your groupings straight
~ 20 factoring problems
~ set-up instructions
~ a sheet of other materials you will need
This idea is simple, yet effective, and my students always ask to "play the egg game again". What are you waiting for? This one is for you!!
If you would like the full set of 12 eggs, or to use this game for something other than factoring, check out the template for this craftivity HERE
