This game is the perfect way to spice up your Expanded Form lesson. Students start out at Level 1, with basic expanded form questions. At their own pace, they work up to Level 3 where they try expanding numbers all the way up to the quintillions place!
The way the game works is that students check their own answers at the end of each level. They only go on to the next level when they have completed everything correctly. This allows your highest students to move quickly to the harder questions where they will feel challenged while giving your students who need more time, the space to move slowly without feeling rushed by the other kids.
Level 1: Write 28,914 in expanded form:
Level 2: Write 238,900,030 in expanded form:
Level 3: How would ninety-nine trillion be written in expanded form?
-Directions for the game
-Three levels of practice
-Answer Keys (double sided and ready to be hung up)
