Some kids need a constant visual reminder of what they are working towards. These token boards are great with that. I use them with students with Autism and other disability during almost all academic tasks every day (Especially the subjects that aren't their favorite).
For example, asking students to think of and type a sentence after looking at a picture is not a favorite task. Once they have completed the first sentence they get to move the star/object to the done (or top) row. This continues until all stars/objects are at the top and the student gets the reward he/she chose. This is great because it clearly defines what the student is working towards and as a teacher you can set the parameters (Sometimes it is two sentences per star or 10 problems, you can take certain rewards that they commonly choose out for a day, etc).
*This is in a word document and is editable so you can add pictures from the internet, write in them, have students draw or create the reward cards (my favorite), etc.
*Check out my store for several examples of templates with varying star/object amounts and characters (monsters, stars, flamingos, birds, etc). This template is used with ALL the reward charts I have created.
Thanks much and good luck! :)
