Do you have a Grandparents Day celebration?
I like to invite grandparents in late September, when my students are familiar with classroom procedures and things are running smoothly.
I always have a huge turn out, and my students absolutely love sharing their world with these beloved family members.
It’s important to convey to children, that while this is a grandparent celebration, if yours can’t come, that’s OK. Another “grand person” can come in their place.
And it’s also OK if no one is able to come, as many people have to work.
Let children know that they will still be included in the activities.
As a time saver for you, I designed this sweet Grandparents Day invitation, as well as a “please return” note.
So that my students know about this upcoming event, I have them color the owl and then write their name in the blank. I've also included a full color option, so that you can hang it up.
I’m Diane from Teach With Me, wishing you a grand time teaching.
