Hidden pictures are a great pre-graphing activity that helps prepare students to graph using a coordinate grid. Students practice finding points on a grid by first using the horizontal axis and then vertical axis.
You can also use the same picture to review area and perimeter. Students can count the number of colored boxes to find the area or around the picture to find the perimeter.
