During my natural disasters unit, there are many example of informational literature, but this is a wonderful historical fiction story about Hurricanes by Jonathan London and Henri Sorenson. It has so many poetic descriptions which makes it ideal for teaching visualization and word choice. The book also lends itself to prediction and plot/sequence activities.
This freebie consists of short and extended response questions to accompany this story. Teachers may use the resource as an independent listening activity or a whole group exercise.
I would appreciate it if you took a second to provide feedback on this freebie:)
