Are you searching for a way to keep record of the instances when students don't turn in their homework? Do you want your students to actively reflect each time they show up without homework complete?
The No Homework Reflection Sheet is the tool that we use to keep up with students not turning in homework. This is a simple reflection sheet to hand to students when they don't turn in their homework. They fill it out, stating the assignment missed, the reason the assignment is not complete, and they are asked to set a goal for themselves regarding future homework completion.
We start our classes each day with independent writing or reading time; during this time, we go around and check homework from the night before and make note in the gradebook regarding complete or incomplete work. All students who do not have homework complete fill out a No Homework Reflection. These reflections are stored in each student's individual file folder. During parent-teacher conference time, it's great to be able to open up the student's folder and have record of each time an assignment was not completed, as well as the student's rationale and goals they have set for themselves.
We hope you enjoy this tool for better homework management!
