This is a super simple graphic organizer for students to use to report on current events. In our classrooms, we often have students present on current events in our community, state or world.
This graphic organizer helps students synthesize the information from the news source and put the information in their own words, so that they can explain it to others. Students think about the five W's and one H (who, what, where, when, why and how), and they are also pushed to evaluate the event, reflect on potential consequences of the event, and state their own opinion and questions.
We hope you enjoy using this graphic organizer with your students!
