Cryptograms are fun puzzle games that ask you to decrypt a secret message. Use them as ice breakers, for early finishers, subs, or just because!
This is a freebie set, so the one puzzle included has four levels of difficulty. This is so even younger children can complete them without understanding some of the vocabulary. It’s a great way to teach new words, spelling, and reinforcing literacy in the music classroom in a fun way. Cryptograms help students engage in logic and reasoning skills, and become fun for them to learn. In this pack, the composer featured is:
Levels of Difficulty:
Level 1: All letters have been revealed in the key.
Level 2: Several letters have been revealed in the key.
Level 3: Some letters have been revealed in the key.
Level 4: No letters have been revealed in the key. (This one is virtually impossible, so it is mainly available for customization. You could use this version to provide your own hints, mark the letters that aren't used, etc.)
There is an answer key provided, along with a “how-to” and “suggested use”.
