Teaching writing can be so challenging! Little writers need a lot of support, and it can be so overwhelming for you and them! Word Banks inspire little writers, prevent frustration, and really help put an end to “Teacher, how do you spell…?”
These word banks are designed to meet the needs of every primary classroom! One way to use them is to create word bank folders. There is a "Family Words" folder front and a matching tab. There are 2 pages of words that can be glued inside the folder. Every single word has a matching picture to help little writers! I kept all of my folders in a basket and my kids could grab the folders when they needed to find a word. You will be amazed at how quickly they learn which words are in which folder!
Family Words are also great for a permanent classroom poster or for inspiring a writing center. Just print the word pages and you have a beautiful and useful display!
