Description

This is a free interactive activity that targets our student’s ability to answer yes/no questions related to object function (e.g. “Do we eat this”). There are 12 objects with 2 questions each for a total of 24 questions. There are two choices for answers (yes and no). I made one question for each object answered with a “no” and one with a “yes.” For example, for the picture of the apple, there are two questions: “Do we eat this (yes)” and “Do we kick this (no).”

The objects chosen are some of the most basic and common ones I think our students need to learn. The images I used for the objects are all real pictures or photographs. I found that a lot of the students that I worked with that had Autism and other special needs responded better when real pictures or photographs were used.

This is a “No Print” and “No Prep” activity that you can access through a desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, cell phone, or Smartboard. It can also be shared through Google Classroom.

After you read the question, your student can select from one of the three images to respond by clicking on it with a mouse or tapping it. A screen will appear to give feedback depending on whether the student's answer is right or wrong.

This resource is great for tele-therapy or distance/remote learning. It saves you valuable time and money since you do not have to print out, cut, or laminate anything. Also, since you can access this product using a tablet, laptop, or Smartboard, it saves you valuable space. That is helpful if you go to different school buildings. Lastly, a lot of my students find using the tablet or computer to target their goals more fun and motivating.

Targeted Words Include:
- apple, milk, fish, car, hand, toothbrush, hat, watch, chair, drinking glass, ball, scissors
