Want to know how my connect 4 games are set up? Check out this free download on solving one step equations!
Students will decide who partner A & B is. One at a time, students will choose a problem from the list and mark it off that they have done that problem so their partner can’t do the same problem (they can go in any order, but the problems are numbered to help with easy checking). Students will solve the one step equations and then find their final answer on their connect four board and cross it off (or write their initials, color with a colored pencil, some way to show what circle belongs to who). Play continues until one partner has gotten 4 in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally on the board. (I will sometimes let a square of 4 count too, depending on the amount of time we have for the activity).
One Step Equations Involve using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to solve. Answer choices are all integer answers including 0. There are no "No Solution" answers.
