Description

Perfect for pre-emergent and emergent readers who need targeted practice with an isolated sound to increase phonemic awareness. Students drag “Gary the Guinea Pig” to the picture that begins with the hard /g/ sound. All text and picture choices (even the letter “g" that is on each page, as well as “Gary the Guinea Pig” himself) are read aloud. Both the cards, and the pictures within each card, are randomized to prevent students from memorizing where to drag Gary on subsequent plays.

This is the FREE PREVIEW of my Full Hard G Initial Sound Deck, which can be found here https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Hard-G-Initial-Sound-Digital-BOOM-Cards-5657535.

The /g/ beginning sound images used in this set are: guinea pig, goalpost, green pepper, grasshopper, golf cart, and garbage collector.

Your purchase includes:

  • A PDF file containing information about using Boom Cards, as well as the clickable link to access the 6-card deck of Hard G Initial Sound Digital Task Cards on the Boom Learning Website.

What are Boom Cards?

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account.

You may be eligible for a free trial from Boom Learning. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).
