Check out this reading response sheet! Great for use with independent readers, partners, book clubs or whole-class! If using in small groups, consider enlarging on 11x17 paper. Here are my directions for use (part of the response menus linked below):
At the conclusion of the chapter, what words come to mind for the big message or theme. Write three hashtag phrases to express the big idea and explain your choices with evidence from the text.

In my experience, different printers (inkjet, laser, different brands) can sometimes have different results so a test print is helpful. I like to make things in black and white and use colored paper to add some frills. :)
