FREEBIES are FABUUULOUS!!
This is a fun way for students to practise blending vc and cvc words or even rhyming words.
You will need 3 dice and different coloured sticky dots (circle stickers). Stick the sticky dots on all 6 faces of the dice. Write consonants on 2 dice and vowels of the other dice. I use 2 colours of sticky dots to distinguish between vowels and consonants.
If you want to blend ryhming words simply write the rhyming end sounds on the sticker eg 'ap', 'up' etc.
This file includes 6 Roll A Word mats (cvc and vc). Print these mats as they are if you are using large foam dice. If you use regular dice, reduce the mats to A5. There are also 3 different recording sheets that can be used during or after the activity.
How to Play:
Students roll the dice and blend the letters together. They need to work out if they are real or nonsense words and record it on the recording sheet.
If you like, please rate it. Also feel free to make suggestions or requests. I'll update the file according to the requests and suggestions I get.
