Created by a professional children's yoga teacher, this FREE resource includes 2 guided journaling worksheets to be used along side your kids yoga activities. Students will perform a "Pre-Yoga Check-in" to focus on how they are feeling (older students can jot down a few notes about their physical, mental or emotional feelings), and then set personal goals for their yoga session, such as "Get Stronger", "Feel Relaxed", "Gently Stretch", "Practice my Balance".
The second guided journaling worksheet is a "Post Yoga Review" in which students will be able to scan their bodies and brains and become of aware of areas that their yoga practice helped them. They can decide whether they met their personal goals, and/or identify one way to improve/modify their yoga activity to better meet their personal goal the next time.
I've found when teaching my classes that these mindfulness activities really help my students bring attention to how their body is feeling, how yoga's stretching, breathing, and strengthening poses can aid in improving the way our bodies feel, and even help us calm our minds, and process big emotions. It also gives them personal buy-in to the program through the personal goal setting so they feel like they are getting exactly what they need out of the exercises for the day.
. These two worksheets are included in my larger "Kids Yoga Guided Journaling" Packet (15 pages) in my full TPT store, which includes tons of helpful no-prep mindful journaling prompts for all ages.
