Product Description
Use this graphic organizer to show your students the 7 parts of a proper lab report introduction.

A lot of teachers teach how to write differently, but I find a lot of students need a lot of help knowing how to organize their writing. Before students can figure out how to write their own lab report, it helps to give them a lot of structure.

This is a free sample of the full Lab Report Writing: How to Write an Introduction Packet. The full packet has several activities in addition to this page that help students learn how to write an introduction.

This activity is also included in a money-saving bundle! Check it out here.

Help your students learn how to write a proper lab report introduction with my science lab report writing skills activities! I will be adding several more activities to my store in the coming week, so check back soon!

The full packet contains the following:
Lesson Contents:
Part 1: Elements of an Introduction: A reading that points out the important and necessary parts of a introduction.
Part 2: A Cut-and-Paste Activity that can help reinforce the parts of an introduction.
Part 3: Dissect an Introduction– Students examine a bar graph and identify the purpose of each sentence/section.
Part 4: What’s missing? – Students examine a poorly written introduction and identify what is missing from it.
Part 5: Create an Introduction Template – Students can create their own introduction based on their own experiment.
Part 6: Half Page Checklist students can use to check their own introductions for the important components.
