Secretly pick two people and write their names down. Announce to the class that the teacher has picked two Secret Students. If the two Secret Workers work hard, follow the directions, and stay on task, they will earn a reward for the entire class. If the two do not behave properly, the class will not receive the reward. Since no one knows who the Secret Students are, everyone tends to behave as the teacher has asked. The student then receives one of the attached certificates to stick into their communication book / diary to show their parents.
Rewards can be anything the teacher chooses or as negotiated as a class, such as extra fitness time, free time, computer time etc. If the Secret Students are successful, be sure to announce their names and have the class thank them. If the Secret Students are unsuccessful, talk to them personally in a quiet moment and do not reveal the names to the class.
A second page of certificates has been included to cater for regional spelling of behaviour / behavior.
