Are you looking forward to the TOTAL eclipse on August 21, 2017? Bring the fun into your therapy room with this easily adaptable eclipse craft!
1.) Print a sun and moon page for each student.
2.) Add desired speech/language targets to the sun.
3.) Cut out the moon.
4.) Attach the moon to the edge of the sun with a brad.
5.) Students practice their speech while gradually rotating the moon to cover the sun. See if you can practice all the words before they are covered by the moon! (For our impulsive children, the SLP may need to control the speed of the total eclipse!)
You students will love “racing the moon” and can take it home for additional practice.
Included in this download:
One example page is included with targets already on it (for initial /s/) and there is a blank sun for you to customize with stickers, cut-and-paste mini cards, drawings, or written words! Sun and moon pages come in color and black & white options. Hint: black and white suns look great when printed on bright yellow paper!
Need mini speech/language cards to customize your sun? I've got you covered: Multi-purpose Mini Flashcards
Bonus: Templates for speech eclipse glasses are included for students to design to go along with their craft while discussing the importance of wearing real eclipse glasses.
