This Word Wall chart was an idea provided by the Wordly Wise 3000 teacher edition. I loved the idea so I created my own chart. It is an extension activity that needs minimal modeling, and it can stay up the entire school year!
How it works:
For each Wordly Wise lesson, encourage your students to look out for their vocab words outside of class, such as on billboards, in advertisements, magazines, books, etc! If they find one, they can come in the next day and write their NAME, the VOCAB WORD, AND WHERE they found it. Super easy.
**Try offering extra credit if they fill it out.
Print multiple copies or just laminate one or two for reuse. Hang it up in the classroom and let students fill it out own their own.
