These free mini-anchor charts will support you as you take your elementary students through the writing process during writers' workshop. Using kid-friendly language, these charts will help your students understand and remember each step in the writing process as they work to gather ideas, write their first draft, revise, edit, and finally publish their pieces. Each one of these charts could be used as a springboard to a mini-lesson on each step. You could easily turn these posters into a great clip chart to keep track of your students as they progress through the writing process. Just laminate and add one clothespin for each student. As your kids move through the process, their clothespins will also move to the corresponding step. This will enable you to do a quick "status of the class" check at any time.
These anchor charts are also part of my "Writer's Workshop Resources for Elementary Students" packet that will be coming very soon! I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them!
